"I would definitely recommend Energy Efficiency Experts to anyone. I'd call it some of the best money I've ever spent. " -- Angie's List Review, August 2011

Local Energy Rebates

State and local governments, as well as utility companies, have rebate programs available to help you finance a home energy audit and subsequent home upgrades.  For a complete list of all available rebates, loans, and tax credits visit the Database of State Incentives for Renewables and Efficiency.

Energy Efficiency Experts is a certified participating partner in the key local programs described below.  We can help you judge your eligibility so you can take advantage of these great deals.

Pepco Home Performance with Energy Star

In Maryland only, Pepco's Home Performance with Energy Star Program provides a heavily discounted audit, a rebate of up to $2000 for the recommended improvements, and other benefits. These rebates can be combined with other state and national programs.

Maryland Home Performance with Energy Star

The State of Maryland currently offers two programs to help homeowners afford energy efficiency upgrades.

MEA Home Performance Rebate Program – Receive a rebate of $100 on your energy audit plus 35% off all subsequent repair work, for a total rebate of up to $3,100.   These rebates can be combined with rebates from your utility company, federal tax credits, and clean energy loan programs to further increase your savings.

MCEC Loans Program – The Maryland Clean Energy Center is offering loans to Maryland homeowners for energy improvements.  For certain homes, successful completion of energy improvements will create average monthly savings on utility bills larger than the loan repayment amount.  You accrue savings every month and after the loan is paid off all the savings go directly into your pocket.

Federal Tax Credits

The federal government offers varying tax credits for the purchase of energy efficient appliances and upgrades.  At Energy Efficiency Experts, our auditors will evaluate your appliances and infrastructure and let you know where you can get the most bang for your buck if you are looking to make an upgrade that qualifies for these tax credits.
