"Our technicians are trained to identify the cost saving strategies unique to your home." -- Pascale Maslin, Green Executive Officer
Watt-o-meters can record the phantom load being drawn by devices that are off, as well as identify when appliances such as refrigerators are over consuming electricity.

Home Owners: Energy Audits

Leaking homes and inefficient mechanical components cause high utility bills. Our home energy audit focuses on low and medium cost strategies which add up to ~25% reduction in your energy costs.

Upon arrival the technician will perform a blower door test. This powerful tool accurately estimates your homes specific air leaks; not only doors and windows, but baseboards, outlets, ceiling fans, and joints between walls and roofs, are common locations where inadequate sealing is costing you a fortune every month in heating and cooling costs. This test takes about 1 hour.

After the blower door test the technician will take about 2 hours to perform a thorough basement to attic tour, this audit includes such essential aspects as checking water systems, reviewing household appliances, inspecting seals of windows and doors, checking your homes heating and cooling systems, assessing insulation in attics and walls, an evaluating your home's phantom loads, Basically every aspect of your home that has anything to do with your energy consumption will be evaluated.

Within a week of the audit you'll receive a written report with low cost, medium cost and high cost recommendations. In our experience the low and medium cost recommendations can add up to savings of 25 to 30% on your utility bills, and most of them will be things you can easily do yourself, but for the more involved jobs, such as installing insulation in the attic or proper air conditioning/heating system maintenance, we are happy to recommend accredited local contractors.

Our audit technicians are college graduates that have been trained in one or more of following Nationally Certified course:
